Wheelchair maker Permobil announced today that it will build a new plant in Wilson County twice the size of its current facility in Lebanon.
The $12 million building will include a solar panel array, expected to produce up to 40-percent of the energy the factory needs.
The company plans to double the number of positions available here over the next three to five years. Currently, Permobil employs 85 people at its Lebanon location, which also serves as the Swedish company’s North American headquarters.
