A major bond-rating agency has put $150 million in bonds for the expansion of Sumner Regional Medical Center on negative watch.
Fitch Ratings issued a press release today saying the Gallatin hospital had not made available audited financial information from last fiscal year, which ended six months ago.
Fitch says the hospital is not only obligated to provide the information to bondholders, but it could also indicate financial distress or poor management practices.
A hospital spokesperson says it has notified Fitch it will file the information by the end of the month.
