A Madison man has been sentenced to 17 years in prison for a mixture of child pornography and identity theft.
According to the US Attorney’s office, Kim Norris began by befriending a pair of teenage girls at a swimming pool. After becoming Facebook friends with one, he downloaded pictures from her profile of girls between the ages of 11 and 15. Norris digitally altered the photos to make it look like the girls were engaging in sex acts and posted his versions on pornographic websites. He then assumed the identities of two of them, using the girls’ full names and other identifying information during what the US Attorney describes as “sexually explicit exchanges with others.”
Norris pleaded guilty to production of morphed child pornography as well as distribution, receipt and possession of child pornography-15 counts in all. The 56-year old was sentenced to just over 17 years in prison, followed by 20 years of supervised release and treatment as a sex offender.
