Tennessee Congressman Marsha Blackburn says she’ll keep fighting to undo the new federal healthcare overhaul. Roughly 80 people turned out for a Q&A with Blackburn last night in Spring Hill.
Almost everyone who spoke from the audience agreed with Blackburn’s call to repeal the healthcare law, and replace it:
“With legislation that is going to be patient-centered, not government-centered – legislation that is going to reduce the cost of healthcare, not increase the cost of healthcare, and legislation that is going to create greater access for more individuals, not restrict access.”
Blackburn’s remarks come after another Tennessee Republican, Senator Bob Corker, said repeal is “not going to happen.” Corker later added he meant not during this election cycle.
