Arnold Engineering Development Center has launched a promotional YouTube channel to make more people aware of what it does. The Air Force ground testing facility in Tullahoma has made a recent publicity push.
Arnold’s wind tunnels simulate flying conditions like temperature and atmospheric pressure. The YouTube videos showcase Arnold’s testing of the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter and NASA’s Ares rocket.
“These wind tunnels have helped develop every high performance military aircraft, missile and ordinance used by the U.S. military today.”
The video goes on to say Arnold’s wind tunnels are critical to developing future aircraft and weapons systems. A statement from the military says Arnold Engineering Design Center is the largest ground test complex in the world.
