Tennessee Senator Lamar Alexander says the country’s top law enforcement officials need to do a better job interrogating terrorists like the “Christmas Day bomber.” He says right now, Attorney General Eric Holder is “doing a better job interrogating CIA employees than interrogating terrorists.”
On Fox News Sunday, Alexander also commented on President Obama’s proposal to spend paid back bank bailout money to stimulate job growth. He says the Troubled Asset Relief Program was a loan and adds, “it’s been paid back and it ought to be used to reduce the debt, not spend it.”
Alexander is chairman of the Senate Republican Conference.
